The Magic City Acceptance Center offers free programs to support the entire family- LGBTQ children, youth, adults, and caregivers! 

Space to Be Me
 
A monthly professionally facilitated group for parents of trans and gender expansive children ages 12 and under. Visit us on Facebook and Instagram or our Google Calendar for monthly updates and meeting location.

Family Nights
Parents, guardians, family members and chosen family are invited to join us for bi-monthly programming! Meet MCAC staff, view our building and learn more about our services while also enjoying fun family events and outings. 

Parent and Family Support
 
MCAC’s goal is to connect LGBTQ youth, adults, families, and caregivers with LGBTQ affirming resources in the Birmingham community and beyond. MCAC has active collaborations with local, state-wide and national organizations. 


Some examples of information and resource requests include:

  • LGBTQ Community Engagement- How can we get involved?

  • Healthcare & Mental Health Resources​ such as affirming counselors, primary care physicians, and transition-related care

  • Addiction Recovery Resources

  • Housing Resources

  • Affirming Legal Services including estate planning/wills, advocacy and legal name changes

  • Family Support in navigating identity
